Three-color image (green = Spitzer-IRAC4 8 μm, red = Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX) 21.3 μm, blue = LAsMA (¹³CO(3–2) moment-0)) of the G305 star-forming complex. The 21.3 μm emission is dominated by hot dust in the HII region. The colder gas is traced by the ¹³CO(3–2) line emission. The interface between the ionized and molecular gas appears as a blend of green (strong 8 μm emission from PAHs), blue (colder molecular gas), and occasionally red (interfaces very close to HII regions). The positions of the Danks 1 and 2 clusters are given by the smaller and the larger white circles, respectively, and WR48a is shown as a white star.
