Observed proper eccentricities and proper inclinations of (65) Cybele and other asteroids in its vicinity. We do not find evidence for the existence of a family related to Cybele located at ep = 0.13 and sin Ip = 0.05 (number ‘65’ along the axis). For comparison, (87) Sylvia and its well-known family are clearly identifiable at ep = 0.06 and sin Ip = 0.17 (number ‘87’ along the axis). Colours correspond to albedo values from the WISE and AKARI catalogues. Asteroids without albedo measurements are plotted in grey. Symbol sizes are proportional to the logarithm of the diameter.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
