Impact of stellar mass correction as a function of the SED-based stellar mass for galaxies from the morphological sample. Overall, the correction lowers the stellar mass, reducing it by as much as a factor of 1.5. We see that the smaller the disk radius, Reff,d (or equivalently R22), the larger the stellar mass reduction, consistent with the fact that the SED-based stellar mass computed in an aperture of 3″ usually overestimates the real value, though in practice this effect can be compensated for by sky projection and PSF effects.
